2001 Malibu aftermarket stereo
Is there a good aftermarket bolt in stereo for the 2001 malibu? I drive at least 45 minutes to work and would like something better than the factory stereo. I've got the top notch factory stereo in it now.(CD,tape etc). My 2002 Dodge Ram Infinity is great. Then I get into the Malibu and it's OK. I plan on better speakers soon. But I would like to find a good Head unit first.

just find a headunit you like, go to a car audio store and buy the instalation kit ($10-20), buy the wiring harness, ($15-30), unless you still want you door chime/ headlinght on reminder, then you buy a $60 conversion kit, becasue the chime is built into the factory stereo. Them buy some wiring crimps and install it. Or you could just have an audio store do it all for you.

Re: 2001 Malibu aftermarket stereo
airforce1: what problems have you experienced? or do you just have an overall distaste for the quality...or lack thereof...
