95 s-10 blazer heater problem

Well I just got this new blazer for a steal at only $1500 bucks and other than having 200,000 on the odometer the body and interior are superb. Well first of all it has a problem with one of the rear speakers not working. I don't know if this is a common problem but its not an issue to me because I am really good with wiring stereos in cars. Secondly there is a problem with the temp guage not climing over about 120 degrees. This I believe is just a problem with the thermostat. If not I would like some feedback on what else it might be. The final and biggest problem is the heater will not adjust when blowing from floor to vent or defrost. I will blow partially out of one and part out of another but never full power out of the area you choose. I think this is a vacumm problem with the correct flaps not opening and closing. Is this expensive to fix?? I am assuming that I will have to take it to a dealer to fix it but I was just wondering if anyone has fixed this before and what the costs were. Sorry for the long post and thanks to anyone with some help on any on this.

Depending on how handy you are you might be able to do it yourself. You will have to dig into the dash though..so it all depends on your comfort level with tearing into your dash..or under it to be more exact. There are vaccuum actuators that push and pull open various doors to control where the air flows to, but they are all located on your heater/blower box and housing. You can remove the lower panels under your dash and see if you can located any of them, maybe a hose has just come off of an actuator, or perhaps under the hood in the engine compartment where the hose comes through the firewall, or it might be disconnected at the source (intake manifold etc..)
