So the radio in my car is being screwie with me so i am going to replace it! i like the after market radios, the one's u pay a decent penny for look really nice! but the stock radios have the security alarm feature on it! (The little red light) so if i put a after market in, will it screw up my security? Any and all feed back guys! Thanks a bunch!

Be sure to disable that security before you disconnect the stocker. If not it'll lock it up and be useless unless you have written down the codes.

Any aftermarket will work and should not faul with the security for the stereo or the passlock.

so if i install an aftermarket deck, does that mean i have to disable the security or will it be ok?

If your red light flashes when the car is off then the theft deterant feature is enabled and needs disabled.

If you have the owners manual that came with your car it says how to enable/disable it as this can very from car to car.

The only thing it does if you dont disable it is make your stock radio usless , so if someone stole it they could not get it to work unless they have the 3-4 digit code you used to enable the theft deterrant.

So you should not have any problems with your passlock security system, as this is seperate from the radios theft Det.
