'94 T-bird Help!

So I bought a new battery for my car like several months ago to replace the dead one in it. Flashforward to this morning, I get into my car to go to work and now I notice the battery light is on, and the battery gauge doesn't go above the "N" in Normal. I pride myself on not being irresponsible enough to have left anything on that might drain the battery thru normal means recently, so I'm really confused.

Any thoughts on what might be wrong would greatly be appreciated, thank you in advanced.

BTW- yes, I'm not very good when it comes to car talk if you couldn't tell

Have the alt checked out to make sure it is charging the battery to it's propper voltage. Most auto stores will do this for free.

Have the same problem, new alt that works fine, new battery that holds charge fine, dies when it sits for more than 4 hours...
