or you can just save and get a 5th gen then do a obd1 conversion like myself. It will cost you a pretty $$$dime though. Besides, 4th gen has the closed deck h22 and their gearing picks up a bit faster than the 5th gens. but performance wise its pretty much the same give or take the drivers skill. so its all on you on what you think looks good.

Yeah 4th Gen look the best IMHO, one with a H22A

Re: Guys please visit my Web-Page...thankxxx
OK, the h22a4 has an open deck design..the h22a has a closed deck design. How would I know?.. open the 2 engines head and you will see the difference. It's clearly that the older years are different. I'm a prelude fanatic and every forum I go to talks about the difference between the two deck design, maybe i missed the one you saw. I see you have a 97 base like myself so if you ever have the chance to compare your engine with a 4th gen vtec, you will see. So to save the argument...period, the two has a different design being the h22a has a closed deck or not for what you call it.

Re: Guys please visit my Web-Page...thankxxx
from what i've read and been told by experienced honda mechanics, the open deck construction is more vulnerble to blow by in the block and not as good as a closed deck. I've also heard that the close deck would be better for boost although h22's are known to not be that great on boost. Several 5th gen guys on the forums have boosted there open decks fine from what i heard. I'm not to sure about all this, but i'm tellin you to the best of my knowledge. someone may add more or correct me if im wrong but hope this helps man.
