Marker Rendering Sketches

At long last I bought a scanner so here some quick sketches I made some years ago. All made under 10mn with biro/marker/white pen.

To be honest, those designs dont work for me, what I mean is, I probably wouldnt buy one of those cars. But I love your technique. You defenately get your light & shades down perfectly. Very good.

Re: Marker Rendering Sketches

These are nice I like them all, and actually these remind me of some automobile design sketches that my id teacher showed our class, they are meant to turn concepts to something sort of concrete on the paper. Yo gnasha, if you don not mind me asking how old are you? Are you a designer?

Not far from 30 and yes I am.
I tend to use computer for the coloring (cheaper in material) but still hand draw the line. Here's one I've done not so long ago (around 45mn for the coloring).

Re: Re: Marker Rendering Sketches

7 years but only in handling plastic products for the industry, so it's more technical than esthetical. I'm currently trying to switch to design agencies to go back to something more consumer related. Are you thinking a career in design?

Re: Marker Rendering Sketches

I am but...not really sure how far it will take me. Currently I am in industrial design, though I love the idea of creating/changing things it seems as though people in this field do not become really known until they are in their late 30s-early 40s.

things take time in the visual arts field. it isn't like rock stardom. i draw storyboards and i want to start my own company drawing just cars. at least to start off the company. i'm 34. once i turned around 29 i didn't care as much anymore about my age. that seems to be a 20-something issue. or an 80-something one, too!
