Day Lights feature on my 1991 325i BMW

Hello All,

I need to install Day Lights feature on my 1991 325i BMW.
Once I start the car the lights should go ON Automatically.
This is required for the car to be registered in Canada.

Can some one help me on how to do it? Parts needed? Prices?

Your help is appreciated.

Regards,
Stalwart

Lightbulb

Bavarian Autosport carries something called "Lights On," which senses the darkness outside and automatically activates the headlights as the sun sets. It's not exactly what you need, but maybe you could modify it or something (maybe cover the sensor so the headlights come on every time you start the car.) Go to www.bavauto.com and order the free catalog or look for it at their web site.

I STRONGLY SUGGEST FOR THE PERSON DOING THIS TO HAVE SOME KNOWLEDGE WORKING WITH ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS!

Behind the light switch find which wire WHICH becomes +12V when you turn the headlight switch on, and the just hook up the Ignition wire coming from the ignition switch to that wire. This way whenever the ignition is on so will be the headlights. MAKE SURE YOU PUT AN INLINE FUSE FOR THE WIRE YOU TAKE FROM THE IGNITION!!!
