Has anyone replace struts on there accord?
Just wondering what they cost, did you do it yourself, replaced the whole strut with spring and all?
I don't need any yet but would think soon with 170,000 on it (91 SE). Not interested in performance ones...just some good quality ones that will retain (my main concern) the nice ride. Car is ALL stock. Somewhere I read the springs can break with age; Is this true? |

Re: Has anyone replace struts on there accord?
I have replaced struts and springs on two accords, one integra and one maxima. The accords were the easiest of the three. You'll just need to get a spring compressor in addition to the obvious tools. I can do them in about an hour, but I have air tools. Hand tools will take a little longer.
Autozone's website has detail instructions with pictures on how to do this. Autozone's repair guides |
