What do you mean "says all kinds of canada stuff"?

If it is a 6th generation DOHC B16A2 (from the factory) it is the Canadian SiR, which is the same as the US Si. If the valve cover is red, it was painted.

The only difference between the CDN SiR and the US Si is the SiR has ABS and heated side mirrors. It also came in Vogue Silver Metallic instead of Electron Blue Pearl in the year 2000.

To my knowledge, there are no differences between the 5th gen (92-95)Canadian Si coupe/hatch and the US Si coupe/hatch, they are the same cars, respectively, with the same Si badge. It was only in the 6th gen (96-00) that Canada still used the Si badge and the US dropped it and called it the EX.

The 5th gen Si hatch had rear disks, while the 5th gen Si coupe had rear drums (I had one). This was because the coupe is based on the sedan, with longer wheelbase, heavier weight, and the aforementioned drums out back. (As a side note the 6th gen coupes and hatches share the same platform as the sedan, which is why 6th gen hatches are heavier and have longer wheelbases than 5th gen hatches.)

If you have a 5th gen coupe or sedan and it has rear disks, I'm pretty sure that was a swap, either from a hatch or from an Integra (a common swap because it also allows easier mounting of a rear sway because you have to use 'Teg lower control arms - I considered doing this on my '94 Si coupe before I got my SiR).

So, is it my understanding that you Fuggi have a Canadian 5th generation Civic Si coupe with the D16Z6 SOHC motor and it came with rear disk brakes? Musta been a swap by the PO...

I have Canadian SiR which is the Si here and it's pretty cool having an SiR badge on theback that is like the Civic badge instead of a sticker like the Si's here. People always ask me if it's really and SiR and I say yep from canada. Power to the Canadians.

I like the fact that the SiR badge is an emblem not a sticker. That said, before I got it (first FBP SiR on my dealer's lot) I was hoping for the badge to be red like the US Si badge, or with a red R, something like that or kinda like this:

Yea, I get e-mails from my website saying, "why yo got a sir badge on a si?????", thinking its some ricer badge swapping thing. I ended up putting a big explanation right at the beginning of my car pages to prevent getting any more...

Canada Kicks Ass...
