New to 533i world - Hello!

Hi, Everyone,

Just bought a sweet 1984 533i from its second owner. 129k, 5-speed with TSW 16" wheels, sway bars, air dam, baby spoiler, lockouts, etc. Just wanted to say hi. Over the years, I have owned an 84 318i, '76 E12, and now have two E28s. I am one of those people who takes from these forums much more than I give, because while I have owned over 120 cars in the past 45 years (have 9 now, mostly British), I have developed little mechanical ability. I love the beasts, but stay poor having someone else do the work. In the past two years, I actually have done rudimentary work on my MGA and Magnette and actually changed the wiper motor on my 528e! So, I will be sponging up knowledge from you all and occassionally, when I'm fooled into thinking I actually know something, will probably make an idiot out of myself by offering advice. Just thought you should be forewarned. Have a great day.

Neal

p.s. -- So my rust-free '84 528e, Black/black as to go. In 2002, I spent over $8,000 on her -- new factory-rebuilt automatic, new valves, water pump, power steeing pump, front end stuff, brakes, leather interior from a 535, nice original wheels, am/fm/casette, power antenna, etc. Comes with extra interior (original black vinyl) and four mounted Blizzacks bought last winter and run no more than 1,000 mi. Drive it home (you might want to bring new front ball joints and a quart of oil for every 300 freeway miles home) for $1,500 or BO. Email for new pics.
