6th gen Greddy turbo kit and GAS MILEAGE

Hmmm, I've been thinking about how car manufacturer's have designed the engines. Now, whenever it's a car with stock turbo or a "sports car" (like an RSX) then they design the cams/compression/blah blah for the more "performance" end of things.

Now there's (wierdos) like me who actually want to keep a fairly gas efficient car with occassional usage of extra HP's. So I'm thinking about keeping my D16Y8 SOHC and adding the Greddy turbo kit and keeping the boost pretty low for lower wear n tear.

Now since the supplemental injectors in the turbo kit are controlled only by the piggy back which I assume only kicks in when the turbos actually spun up... doesn't that mean if I keep lower revs, then I still have my little 32mpg gas efficient < 130hp SOHC? Then when I spool the turbo I get the +42hp boost?

Sure this probably makes the power curve look like nothing < 5k rpm, but then a big hump as the turbo kicks in... right? Exactly what I want?

Am I nutz?
