Need help with 1jz-gte MAP sensor

I'm doin my swap right now but i don't really know what the MAP sensor looks like for the 1jz-gte. Can someone plz help me find a pic of the MAP sensor on a early model 1jz-gte?

Should be inside of the manifold closer to the engine, 2 bolts. You dont need to know what it looks like to do the swap though, if you got a front clip everything is bolt in, all you need to do is lengthen the harness, find a 89+ crossmember and mounts, get a LHD 2jz throttle cable, and a high pressure PS hose from the 93-94 MK4. Good luck on the swap, I know I'd do it if I had the money to blow.

Thanku projectsupramk3!

I just wanna know but can anyway tell me if my engine do have the MAP sensor or a MAF sensor? It's '93 model 1jz-gte. Ok that solve the throttle cable problem but i don't have an Ignition control module cause as far as i know it can be dealt with using a 2jz-gte igniton control module. Is this the right approach? With these done im pretty much set to start up the car. Thanx!

Yea thats the way to do it, either a 2jz-gte or 1jz ignitor, I'm pretty sure there the same part. A 93 should be a 2nd gen 1jz by the way, look at the intake turbo pipes above the turbo's, if the PCV vent is on the Y-pipe its a 1st gen, if it's on the other alum pipe beside it, it's a 2nd gen. All 1jz-gte's are MAP, MAF is what's on the 7m-ge. So you lengthened the wiring harness yourself? Tedious work but it's worth it.

Thanx again man!

Anyway i didn't do it myself. I had a friend who's done swaps before to help me out. But when i told him it was a 1jz-gte he got excited cause he never done one. Man was it a pain! It's harder to do than a nissan or a honda but its well worth it. BTW don't MAP sensors also have vacuum hoses for it? I don't know where its at tho. We've been at this swap thing for like almost a month now cause it gets really busy these days so we only take like a few hours a day to work on it. And i wonder would the LHD 2jz throttle cable fits perfectly?

Cool, I don't know the specifics of the jz MAP sensor but I know the VPC uses an air temp and a absolute pressure transducer to read intake flow. From what I hear the 2jz cable is almost perfect, no need to mod it though.
