Lowering options
wanting to buy springs for 91 civic but was wondering how low i should go. whats the lowest i could go (to lose wheel well gap) without causing scraping problems or mess up performace on 17's ? would 1.7 be a big difference?

Re: Lowering options
The lowest I recommend for daily driving is 2". When you drop 2" or more suspension selection becomes a major factor. 17's make the suspension, brakes, & engine all work harder - reducing performance. Also you will need a camber kit for proper alignment w/ 2" or more drop. Camber really isn't an issue when lowering 0-1.75"

lowering a 07 civic ex with 7.5 in width rims?
i got a question for the suspension experiments/...would be much appreicated..
i have a 97 civic ex...i have 17 in rims but they are 7.5 width...and the most you are supposed to go is 7 in.....i didnt know that when i bought them...i went to the racing shop by my house and they said they could give me agx shocks/struts with tenzo springs....and it would drop about 1.75 inches...and the struts would be adjustable for softness or hardness...however they guy said if i camber it will rub.... so does this mean i either have to go around with the ghetto fab looking wheels where they vear out....or i half to camber...i know cambering is better..but if i have any more than two people in my car it rubs as it is at stock specs....what should i do....have sucky steering and tire wear but no rubbing or get camber????? im lost |

alot of my civic buddies have been getting 16's merely for the fact they have bent too many rims on curbs and what not.... what do you think for performance is the best size for a civic? |
