98 swift

Hey guys, new to these forums, gotto say like those pics of your swifts.

any ways I got a 98 swift (in canada) its the 1.3l with 79hp. I got a new intake and custom rear section exhaust with an obx muffler.

now back in the day the swifts used to be 1.6l (to my knowledge) and I was wondering if anyone has tried using the intake manifold and throttle bodie from the 1.6 into a 1.3?? this is my winter car and I'm trying to make it a little better. any suggestions?? anyone have any old 1.6 l parts that they want to sell???

thanks

The intakes on the '98-'01 G13B are more than up to the task of a modified engine. There is no reason to get rid of this manifold. Go find a 50-60mm TB off a Nissan engine and do the simple mods to it to fit it on your intake. You will be more than impressed with it. I am installing a 60mm TB on my '00 Metro which has the 16v SOHC G13B engine. I am also having a fairly wild cam made for it this month to go along with my custom 4-2-1 header and full exhaust to an OBX-5 silencer. There are plenty of other mods to this car if your interested in hearing about them.

Later,
Mike
