installing new single/multi cd player up front

i have a 98 740iL, and hate the multi CD access in the trunk. Has anyone put a single CD player or multi CD player up front somewhere that is inexpensively done and easily done. Wouldn't mind either 1. moving the multi CD player up front somewhere or 2. just putting in a single CD player and replacing the Tape deck in it or just putting it somewhere and having it hook in with the multi CD in the trunk. Thanks

Re: installing new single/multi cd player up front

Hmmm. I was recently searching as well. I found a model, Blaupunkt Toronto, that seemed to be suitable, but it's the old good news/bad news situation. The good news is that it was apparently plug and play with many BMWs and also looks like the OEM radio styling for BMW. The bad news is that it seems to be a discontinued item. Maybe you can find one. Good luck!
