GTO Newbie

Hey guys,
My first GTO will be arriving in a container in Southampton in a couple of weeks. Never been in or driven one-so thought i'd buy one and see wat all the fuss is about. Got a Black Twin Turbo '91. Any one out there that can tell me if i can throw this thing around a bit on the road, or is she a bit of a handful ??
Hopfully get to know you lot of fellow petrol-heads more.
