Re: super kit

Not in person but I am about to bite the bullet and order one. The price will be even higher in Aussie dollars, although the exchange rate has improved lately. I'm not buying it to build in the forseeable future, more something to look forward to in my retirement!

Re: super kit

I have seen one at a model show. Matthew Wells has done an extraordinary job with this kit. The finish on the machined parts is jewel-like. There are many photoetched parts and a new set of decals for the 935. My only issue with this kit is (not the price) that alot of those machined parts are hidden when the car is assembled.

Re: Re: super kit

I've seen one up close and it's gorgeous. If your a Porsche fanatic you have to get it. I want it but can't afford it and even if I had it I'd never build it, I prefer my race cars with the wheels out in the breeze!!!!!!!

Seriously though, the thing is stunning, it comes with a sheet showing all of the plumbing and wiring of the engine and ancillaries so that all of the wires etc. go to the correct place! The wheels are even more beautiful than a real BBS and are made up of PLENTY of parts, I think it even had the individual boltheads to put around the rim!

Like I said before, If your a Porsche person you have to have this kit.

You won't be disappointed with the Scale Sotorsports kit. I've seen it all in person, and it's very impressive.

Oh wow! I can't wait to see the pictures when you get all the stuff. This is the sort of project that's just so tempting but way too expensive for someone like me. Please please please post a progress thread when you get it goin!

Well its too expensive for me too,but I have an understanding wife. I placed the order today.....should arrive next week. I expect this will be a very lengthy project. I am considering starting a web page to document the build, orI just may post pics here as I go, if you all are interested.

You know, you could've had the same building experience just buying a classic sports car and restoring it. Seriously, $500 would've landed you a basket case mid-70's 911.

But. heck, this'll be a stellar model. I'm looking forward to this project.
