94 Rodeo 4x4 not engaging
Just purchased a 94 Rodeo 4x4 with 95k and the 4-wheel drive does not engage....got stuck with the big storm. It seems to shift into 4x4 High/low correctly and the light indicator goes on but the front wheels do not egage. Do not know much about 4x4 sytem, do not want to get worked by the mechanic. Thanks for any advice. I hope this is not a sign for things to come. Also, is there frame rust problems with this model
Plus what should I check with buying a Rodeo with this many miles? Thanks again.-Aaron Last edited by Huffy76; 12-07-2003 at 10:41 PM. |

94's didn't come with SOTF. Probably bad auto-lock hubs. Unless they aren't auto-lock in which case, you must lock them manually.
Oh, yeah, my 94 Rodeo had 101K on it when I bought it and the starter went out a bit after purchase. Also had to replace the spark plug wires. Expensive little things, they are. |

Re: 94 Rodeo 4x4 not engaging
Just had the same problem,When we took the Hub off there is a C clip on the end of the axle that holds the auto hub in place and the one on the drivers side had fell off, put 2 new C clips on and it works fine now.
