Mexican fast food(California).

About a year ago I was in California. I ate at a place called "el sombrao" if I spelled that right... It was off of route 8 heading west toward san diego. Maybe a half hour outside of the city.

I bought a chicken burrito or something like that.
It sucked. It had no flavor and it was full of chicken bones... Is this normal for this chain of restaurants? It was one of the worst place I ever ate.

Wow, you seem very cultured.

About the restraunt, never heard of it but it seems pretty bad. Seems kind of strange too, southern California has the best mexican food in the US (for obvious reasons ). If this place is selling food with bones in it it won't last very long.

The Mexican fast foods in in the Bay Area California aren't that bad. Most the food taste the same to me. But with bones in the burrito? You should get your money back for a bad burrito.

Call me ignorant but I was under the impression fast food resturants could not hold liquoir lisecenes, due too the fast they are infact "fast food", doesn't that allow for people too get liquor too go? which is also illegal......

Re: Mexican fast food(California).

El Sombrero, It was late, I was tired, I cannot believe I spelled it that poorly

Anyway, I have been searching online for the place. ANd have not found anything that reminds me of where I ate, maybe it was not a chain. I can't even find a listing in online yellow pages... it must have went under!

The place is called Taco Cabana. You go up to a counter like a fast food place and order, then then cook your food and call your number out and you go back up to the counter and get your food. They serve the margaritas in a glass you cant take with you. I've never gotten there food to go but I know they have a drive thru. www.tacocabana.com

Damn that's nice. If mexican fast food places around here served alcohol I'd be drunk all the time.
