disassembling an engine

does anybody know how i can go about disassembling a Boss 429 engine thats been glued/painted and stored for about 2 yrs? will CSC or Brake Fluid take the glue off? Also, how would i convert this engine to look like the Chevrolet 427 from the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro? the only differences i could c were the valve covers, water pump, and belt/pulley system. is that all there is, other than the 2 CI difference?

Huh??? Coverting a Ford engine to a Chevy is sacrilegious
I am pretty sure the exhaust ports have a differenet configuration

CSC may loosen the glue a bit, will definitely take the paint off. Once it has soaked remove any loose pieces. I have found that if I put the part in the freezer for awhile , this tends to make the glue baond a little more brittle and withh some gentle prying it should come apart

i feel the same about the engine conversion, but i dont have a chevy 427...i have the boss 429, which is close enough for me.i seem to have bad luck with those GT500 and Boss 429 kits...i have wrecked 2 GT500's and 1 Boss 429....maybe i'll try 1 in the future when my skills are better.
