What?! Id like to see that. I dont have anything against celica's but we're talking about apples and oranges here. A stock E36 M3 would kill a celica, and wouldnt know which way a E46 M3 went.

Everyone underestimate Celica. I bet his friend must be talking about the M3 parked at a local BMW dealership. Of course he is going to beat M3 when it just park there. :smoka:

        I looked at the title of this thread and i was like what?!?!

obviously an E46 could destroy a Celica, even a modded Celica GT would take alot to beat a stock E46 M3

I guess I thought the same thing as everyone else. Not only were you comparing the fastest 3-series against Toyotas base sports car but it's the base base model Celica. I guess this is the same type of guy that thinks that the super-hot waitresses are always hitting on him.

ya know, i am usually all about the underdog, but hell, a celica couldnt take a new m3...
there are very few cars that would, and they all have a price tag over 30k, and i dont think any are fwd...

nice topic for a laugh...
and, i dont think even a turbo could help the celica beat the m3... the gap is just too great and the disadvantage of fwd is obvious here...

Lets see M3 has 333hp
i dont know much about celicas but i cant imagine it even has 200hp, thats a big difference, the difference in torque will be even bigger.

Maybe a 318i compact vs celica

Even the Rod Millen/TRD Celica with 500hp cold only gert 4.9 second 0-60 time, so even it would get killed by an M3.
