Re: Skin job!

nice paintjob. people would notice you from a mile away! but wont it look cleaner if the front thing at the bottom of the car... below the grill.. front wing? was black..

those wheels are from the red car pics?

I must admit I liked the way it looked before, but the change is not bad.

Is it what you wanted? Its hard to get a scheme in your head, and make it turn out the way you wanted it to.

I have never been fond of dark wheels, but its does go with that scheme.

Good Job, R33.

Sky, I know how much you liked the old colour. But the paint was already going dead. Plus there were a hell of a lot of scratches all over the body. I initially wanted deep black. But there are already too many GTRs in black over here.
So I opted for the flame red you are seeing. I thought it looked "fast"...if u know what I mean. It's 3 tone...red/orange/yellow. Now nobody could say he did not see me coming...

Raysoh...the front lip? The paint guy said the same thing as u did. I opted for the seme color as the body though.

Don't you mean, see you going

Does the paint look different in person? I have seen a lot of colors, that the camera could not really capture the different hues.

It does look good.

Ya, I think the pics don't really do justice to the real colour. It's rainy season over here and it's always gloomy and so the pic don't come out right. One of these sunny days, I will snap a few more pics. It should be red, with lotsa orange in it and with tinges of yellow (and even green in it!). Under bright sunlight, I thought it really looks kinda fierce!
The wheels are bronze, but a bit darker then the normal bronze.

The original colour was maroon. The original owner, for some reason or other, repainted it with wine red. My friend who imports cars from Japan says that maroon coloured GTRs are few. Apparently it is limited by the factory. Dunno whether that's true or not.
