Question 1991 Honda Civic aftermarket tachometer installation.

Hey how's it goin'? I just signed up for the forums. I own a 1991 Honda Civic that I just bought not too long ago. Of course you all probably already know that it doesn't come with a stock tach. Well, I am pretty sure I know where the ignition coil is (under the distributor cap), but I am not exactly sure how to connect the tachometer. I have got a Haynes book on the civic from 84-91, and it will explain to me enough to get the distributor cap off, but unfortunately the book doesn't explain wiring up a tach. So my problem is, what do I do once I have got the distributor cap off? If anyone could help it would be appreciated.

Thanks...

i believe theres a blue wire on a plug that goes into your stock cluster that you can wire the tach too, or just get a 90 - 91 Si or Ex cluster and swap em with no wiring needed!

Don't go all the way to the distributor. You can gain acess to the correct wire inside your gauge cluster. All civics have the correct wiring for a factory tach even if they don't have it in there from the factory.
Here is the site I used for mine. LINK
