2001 LXI Battery replacement and "squeak from front wheel"

two part question:
1. How do we get to the battery to replace it? Seems to be buried under the fuse panel.

2. There is a squeak very similar to an old door needing oil coming from the front passenger wheel audible when driving, or when turning the wheel while stationary... any ideas, or where to start?
