Crazy Question
A frined of mine created a motor for his Eagle Talon, he took a 2.4 block and altered his old 2.0 head to fit the 2.4 block, is this appliation out of the question for a 3.4 block and a 3.1 head?

Re: Crazy Question
3.4 WILL not work. It's a DOHC motor.
The 3400 will work with 3100 (NOT 3.1!) heads. But I think you want it the other way around. You would want to take a 3100 block and swap the top-end of the 3400 onto it.

Re: Crazy Question
It would work but I don't think you will get that much out of it!

What he's thinking of, will not work..since the 3.4 has cams in it's heads and a 3.1 has a cam in it's block. It's a mechanical mismatch.
