Its no where near a straight swap, but its not all that bad

You need to keep all of the 2g sensors and just transfer them over to the 1g parts. You need the head itself AND the intake manifold. The 2g TB can be made to work, but its not worth the effort. Find the 1g TB, its a performance upgrade anyway (58mm vs 52). Get ARP head studs for the 2g block, the studs have to match the block. You'll need a few cooling system parts as well. The large front water pipe will have to be a 1g part, and you will also need the 1g water neck and thermostat housing (this is where you transfer your 2g sensors to). If your car is a 97-99 you can simply swap the Cam Angle Sensor over (use the 2g cams), if its a 95-96 you need to convert to a 90-94 CAS or 97-99 CAS and wire it in per the RRE instructions (
www.roadraceengineering.com). There will no longer be any place to mount your coil packs so you need to find a solution to that. I modified a 1g coil pack bracket to work with my 2g coil pack. I beleive you can just swap in the whole 1g coil packs with bracket if you know they work. Should be the same traingular plug. Same goes for the ignitor, no where to mount that, but its small. There is also no provsions for the 2g MDP sensor on the 1g manifold, so you need to plumb it into manifold boost/vac with a piece of hose. Be sure you use the 2g TPS, and leave the 1g throttle closed switch in place but not wired to act as a throttle stop. The 1g TB needs it. Try to use parts only for 91-94. Some things like TB, waterneck stuff, etc is all different on those POS 90s...
Thats all off the top of my head. Check out
www.magnusmotorsports.com, 1gina2g tech article, and RREs head swap page on thier tech tips page. You may be able to get an idea of what you need from the parts list for the full block/head swap to see if I missed anything

Good luck.
