3000GT VR-4 vs. Impreza WRX US-Spec

Just wondering how these two cars would line up if they were put on a road course and ran a few laps. I think the VR-4 would come out on top because of the AWD w/ 55%/45% torque splittin vs the rexy's locked 4wd. Oh, both cars stock accept for brakes, a good set of mags, and some good rubber.

I'm going with the WRX only cause its lighter and newer. Its easy to get more hp from any engine, alot harder to lose weight (sorta like me)

Hey Gonthrax, dont worry if you ever need someone to post whore on your thread give me a buzz

Got any numbers for the VR-4? I know hp was like ~ 320 but what about 0-60, 1/4 mile, skidpad...etc.

The only thing I dont like about the WRX's drive train is the center diff which uses a viscous type diff. The Evo VII (OT I know) uses, what I consider, a more modern center diff that allows the driver to select the split. I realize that the B22 also had that feature but we're getting way OT now.

Let me start by saying the mod this and mod that arguement are tired and annoying.

The VR4 all the way. Not because I can quote a bunch of numbers, but because I have lined up with a WRX and quickly pulled ahead and kept pulling away down US31 last fall. I'm sure most of you dont know the road, but its a windy lakeshore road. You can see a long way down the street through the curves so its an excellent place to haul ass because you have a long visual range through the curves.
