I just bought a 2000 GT and spent $2000 on my sound system. I've already ordered Intake (AEM Cold Air), Exhaust (GReddy EVO), and Wheels/Tires. What I wanna do now is paint the interior. Does anyone have some GOOD advice on how to go about it (Sanding, Priming, Painting, Clear Coat)? What type of paint should I use? Also, I wanna redo the carpet. Any ideas on where I can get some good carpet?

I don't have too much experience with painting but I will give my opinion. Something that you don't see on everyday cars is fiberglass dashboards. I think if you spent $2000 on the sound system, then I think this is an achieveable goal. I've had an estimate for one which I would design for about $1500. But that's my opinion because I think it would look nicer than paint and you get to say where you want everything.

fiberglass
hey whats up? My friend is fiberglassing his console right now and it really looks sweet. Basically what you want to do is totally sand down the part (dash, console etc.) and apply the fiberglass. Let it dry then slowly sand it again. It should come out smooth and shiny. If not, sand the non smooth parts and reapply fiberglasss and sand down again. My friend has his console all fiberglassed now, smooth as a babys bottom

it may seem like a good idea now but there's disadvantages example: it will be so much harder to sell, since the market will only be girls and the sexually confused |
