4L80E help

93 Sub. with 454 and 4L80E. 3rd trans, same problems. Looses o/d, slam shifts 1-2. Any info on this concern would be appreciated. Thank you.

Don't know about loosing OD but the slam when shifting from 1st to 2nd happened in my '97. Seems Chevy went to a pwm system on a solenoid in the tranny that wears out easy. You probably had a delay, then the slam, before shifting. Chevy dealers want around 800 bucks to fix it; I got it done at a tranny shop for less than 200. There is a program on it so you just have to mention it; they will know what it is.
