Exclamation Pioneer Deh-P2600 Help!

I need to know if there is any difference between the 2003 models and the 2004 models. They look different but im not sure if its just because one has the backlight on and one doesnt? Here are the pics..

The first pic is from pioneer's website. The last one is 2004 from crutchfield. Is there any difference? Becuz i want to buy it from thezeb for 130 shipped, worth it? Any1 had experience with thezeb? Also, is the cd player well worth the money, or should i stick with the panasonic head unit for 109 installed? I would have to install the pioneer myself..not a tough job but still.

is it just me or does the 2nd one look a hell of a lot better with the more silverish look? Maybe its just the lighting?

i doubt there is any difference besides the look, there may be though, search on google for the specs on both and compair them. i think that second one does look better though, also i have heard the zeb is a very good place to buy from. which panasonic were you going to get? the pioneer will probably be better depending on which panasonic it is.

from a durability stand point, you want the cd players with the removable face plate, that covers the cd loader. Prevents dust, etc...

sorry i wasn't able to reply yesterday, but i would say the main difference is that there is only one rca pre out on the pioneer and 2 on the panasonic, but that alone would not pursuade me toward the panasonic. if i were you i would get the pioneer online. i saw it for around 120 when i searched on google. if you are planning to go with a big system later on down the road or if you already have subs, then i would definately suggest going with the pioneer, but i would go for the next highest model that has atleast 2 rca pre outs. the reason i would go for at least 2 rca pre outs is that later on if you decide to add an amp to power your front speakers along with the amp that powers your subs then you will be able to do this easily. i hope this helps.

Re: Pioneer Deh-P2600 Help!

well its not really for me, if it was hahah lets not go there. But its for my sisters car, and no chance in adding subs or amps or anything so no need for pre outs 4 that. I just need clean sound and some effective bass power, not rattling just nice enough :P

now my last question is.. this

Re: Re: Pioneer Deh-P2600 Help!

you still will not get much bass out of anything unless you upgrade speakers and possibly get a sub, but your definition of good effective bass power may be different than mine.
