b16a need help
i have a crx wth a b16a gen1
there is a CEL... the code is calling for a fault in the coolant temp sensor, (1 of the 3) there is no break in any wire from the engine to the ECU, and all of the sensors check out fine, after checking them each for resistance with a meter.. the ecu is in limp mode, and has a 7200 RPM redline as a result... no vtec, but the spoon VTEC controller with take care of that.. the car runs strong, but only up to 7200... we have worked for SEVERAL hours trying to trace it , but the bug IS JUST NOT THERE, no matter where we look... we tried like 3 ECU's, and there is just NO problem to be found.. anyone have any insight? |

Re: b16a need help
So have you tried to replace the coolant sensor?

your ecu might be bad also. take a known good working ecu and plug it in, see if that clears the problem.
