Angry Problementoooooooooooooooooooooooo

hi there...
i dunno whether any one is having this problem or not... i have a 95 gsx and when i star the car immediately the speedometer starts moving to 20 miles per hour speed although my car is stationary... also when i accelerate around 20-30 miles per hour speed in the road.. my speedometer needle just jumps to 70-80 miles speed level... my mechanic said he has never seen a car with this problem.. does anyone know whats wrong... also my fuel gauge indicator also doesnt work... when i fill the tank gauge indicates to full fuel level.. but when i drive for 5 mins immediately the fuel level drops to empty.. but the warning light for fuel is not on and i do still have a lot of fuel in the tank... because of this speedometer problem.. my mileage keeps on incresing whenever i start my car... what should i do??? please help

On 1G cars, the speedo is mechanical, so I doubt you would ever see this problem. On a 2g however, the speedo signal is electrical. I would get a datalogger or scan tool to borrow (or your mechanic) and hook it up with the key in the "on" position. Start the car, and if the speedo acts up, see if the ECU's speed signal is doing the same. If it is, its most likely the speed sensor on the tranny, but could be in the wiring i suppose. If its just the speedo its probably in the wiring somewhere. Thats a strange one, but I seem to remember explaining all this before, so you probably arent the only one that has seen this. weird..
