Kicker s12x solo x

hi, i was wondering if it is a good deal to buy 2 s12x kickers for $1000. they both hit at 2500 rms and peak at 5000. i wanted to know if they are really good subs and if they are worth the money.

For that much you could get and amp and a kick ass sub. What are you looking for in your system all out bass or a mix of sq and spl. Its all upon your preference.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Re: Kicker s12x solo x

Well if thats the case then you could get 2-15" re-mt's for a grand and im pretty sure you would crush the shit out of the kickers. Push about 3000rms to each and that should hit really fucking hard. Look at www.reaudio.com, you could also look into aome of adire audios stuff or incriminator audio. For a grand you could get something that hits as hard or harder and has better quality. If you plan on all this then i would suggest looking mass amounts of sound dampening, and also the big 3 for your electrical. Check out www.realmofexcursion.com for videos of the mts and some of adirees stuff in action, that and noah hit 151db with a single mt. Look around you could get suff 10 times better than kicker for that price.

Re: Kicker s12x solo x

Il agree they can get loud as shit but head to head i think the MT's could get luder than the kickers.

Re: Kicker s12x solo x

You would have to have a massive amp to be able toblow one of the MT's. Yeah it does sound bad with no warranty but Adire has some stuff thats just as good, not sure if its as loud but im pretty sure thay have something, theres definately better stuff out there for less money look throgh the forums, soundsplinter, adire audio, re audio, incriminator audio, just look around and see what gets the best reviews for spl. Just to let you know most of the storys about ubs blowing out windows are usually 9 times out of 10 BS, look at some db drag competitions ive seen oem glass handle above 150 db, ive also seen a few subs do that i managed it with 2 15" mtx thunder 8500's pushing about 500rms to each but that was because the box put the speakers about 3 inches from the window and the window was about 18 years old with some spider cracks. Ask some of the members that have been here longer about what they would recomend for all out bass, sounds your willing to spend some cash on a system though.

Re: Kicker s12x solo x

its not possible to blow out windows with frequencies that low....the only thing that causes windows to break is loose glass rattling hard against panels
