97-99 Spoiler Conversion

Ive been looking for a 97 eclipse GST basically because I really like the spoiler, but then I realized getting a 96 and just changing the spoiler would be a much better deal. Anyone know if its possible to puchase the stock 97 GST spoiler from any companies. Also how hard is it to install this once you have it. Also can you get just the spoiler painted or do you have to have the entire car painted? Thanks in advance.

You can buy the spoiler at the mitsubishi dealer, and you can have just the spoiler painted.

Re: 97-99 Spoiler Conversion

Thanks a lot, right after you said that I found this site called SpoilerDepot.com that paints it for you and ships it all for 250.00 I will probably just do this. Does anyone know how difficult it is to remove the stock one and put this in its place? I know next to nothing about doing this stuff so I will probably wind up having to pay someone to do it but if its relatively simple I may just try it myself.

To get the spoiler to look right is difficult, its not as simple as taking the old one off and putting the new one in its place. The lo wing has bolt holes in the rear quater panels that will need to be filled. Either with bondo or welded shut. Either way you are going to have some of the rear of the car worked on as well. Expect to pay more than you anticipated
