My question is what does it mean to "port and polish" your engine?

is it just making it stronger? more durable? hell ima research this so if u dont wanna reply then don't, but if someone whos done it feels so gracious to lay the knowledge on me then id be pretty appreciative!

Re: Port and Polish?

Port and polish is when you make the air ports in the head bigger for more flow. Like adding a bigger intake pipe:more airflow. Do NOT do it at home.

If you want your head (the CAR'S head) ported and polished, you can send it to Joe Alaniz. Do a google search for his last name and you'll find his site. He's the best head porter I know, and he's a great guy. You have to send your head to Cali tough.
