anyones CF hood gettin hazey?

mine was getting these big hazey/oxidized spots on it so i took some plastic polish to it and it made it look brand new

i would wax it but i dont know if it'll scratch it, ya know put alotta swirls, but that plastic polish works good


i dont really care what kinda hood it is aslong as its carbon fiber, plus u cant beat free

my friend's 6th gen CF hood got hazy because the person that painted his moldings got overspray on the hood and poured paint thinner to get it off

you supposed to use paint/laquer thinner to get overspray off, you can also use clay but i like laquer thinner better, wax after use...

I got mine from JDMHondaParts.com, have had it on the car for almost 3 years & it hasn't faded or yellowed one bit. I've never waxed it. A buddy of mine had his buffed by a detail shop & it took out ALL the little swirl marks that it came with (mine has a lot as well). I just haven't taken the time to have mine done yet...

But it will also slightly melt plastics/synthetic materials if you use paint/laquer thinner on them.
