Do you girls work on your own cars?

I was wondering how many of you work on your own car, and what you have done with it so far?

I haven't done anything to my car I have now (mostly because it's still pretty new), but I have worked on some of my old cars. I've replaced brakes, done oil changes, helped replace a clutch, done body work, etc.

Am I the only one that loves going to the junkyard? LOL

Hmm...

replace almost all the bulbs in the car....like that count:o
Change my tail lights to red/clear

Mostly, my friends do the work in the car...I try to help though...but my car is kinda new, and I'm buying my mods VERY slowly.

Not only to I work on my car, but I also work at a garage. Kind of nice how that works What I can't do though I will hand over to my mechanic at Lucas to watch and learn.

I try to install everything myself because if I can work on a $40 million dollar F14 Tomcat a $15,000 96 Accord shouldn't be that hard.

But mostly I've changed my lights, and my friend showed me how to install my CAI. As for springs and shocks I had a mech do it but I've watched him and now I feel confident that I can do it myself. That is the best way to learn is to watch and ask question.

I know I don't count b/c I'm a "nissan" owner, but here goes:

I've personally changed the bulbs in my car. I've helped with replacing the rear brake calipers, the rear rotors, rear brakes, front brakes... And that's about all that I've done with my car thus far

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.. I betcha do...

Like Desiree.. My car hasnt needed any work yet- a little over a yr old, so no.. and my old cars I hated.. so there was no sense .. I was pregnant when most of the mods I have so far were done.. so my bf did my coilovers and exhaust ... I did my tails... Most of the radio install... We both did the indiglo gauges- easier so the needles wouldnt break...

In the spring I'll be doing more.. so we'll see. And Im not pregnant..

can anyone here do more than just change lightbulbs?

hondahottie and i do motor swaps, head tuning, head swaps, valvetrain tuning, tranny swaps, clutches, diff rebuilds, turbo rebuilds, custom turbo installs...

and yes, she can change a light bulb, too.

now she's on the path of learning how to tune fuel injection by computer reprogramming and value/sensor manipulation.

i'm very proud of my girl
