engine swap

has anyone ever heard of somebody putting in a northstar v8 in a grand am?

Point? You're going to rip the car apart with the torque if you try. Mod a V6 and you'll break motor mounts...lol.

If you want to swap the motor out, do a swap to a 3400. It's not hard, as far as engine swaps go.

what would be the big advantage of going from a 3.1 to a 3.4. the only difference is ram air right? thats not that big of a difference is it?

actually, the 3400's have a bigger aftermarket folowing than the 3100's, so while it also has the bigger displacement, you can also get many more parts for it

if I were you I'd register at the gaownersclub and check out some of the 3400 setups
