Transmission conversion
Has any one ever converted there auto 240z to a manual before?
I blew the seals on my trans so i was thinking that i might put a supra 5 speed in. I heard that u can get adaption rings for them. I'm wondering if its worth it though its a big job. where does one get the pedals and all the hydrolic gear from? |

Re: Transmission conversion
Fairly simple and straight forward using a NISSAN 5sp. Go to junkyard and pull the parts you need. Flywheel, clutch, pedals(clutch and brake) clutch master, slave and lines. You will also need a pilot bushing to put into the end of the crankshaft. Be sure when removing old trans to take off flexplate and adaptor ring from end of crankshaft. May also want to change rear main seal while you are in there. Also might want to check out zcar.com, use the search function and find all the answers.
