I went to the local Ferrari club trackday today and there were some pretty nice cars there; a 911C2, an S2000, a few Minis, a C5 Vette, a Viper, 2 Ferrari 308s, a 328, a 355, and........the one and only 1962 Ferrari 330 Testa Rossa Le Mans. This is the car that Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien drove to win the 1962 24 Heures du Mans. This car was featured in the most recent Forza magazineThe V-12 was awesomewith straight pipes, the best sounding car I have ever heard. It's a gorgeous car, as well. The best part of it was when I left the track, he left at the same time, so I was able to follow the thing for about 30 minutes. It's amazing to see a Le Mans winning Ferrari launching from a red-light
Here it is: http://www.supercars.net/cars/1962@$...20TRI+LMg.html I took some pics with the digital camera, I'll post them soon

Well I think I can top you, take a look in the Ferrari section 'Nonspecific' and 'Ferrari Festival'
This year there was a returning 1970 (I'm not positive on the year) Ferrari 330 P3 one of 4 in the world may have been featured on Victory By Design that's only a slight possibility though. This yera there were also two 250 GTOs and no idea why I didn't get the years. The 250 GTO has been sold in between a million or so all the way up to 13.7 milllion some tiem a couple yeras ago, they only made 39 and I'm not 100% sure as to how many are surving today but it's a handful.

Sorry...all too easy to top your sighting.
Check out this photo I snapped: ![]() This was at our annual Palm Beach Cavallino Classic Ferrari festival, which is held each year at the Palm Beach Breakers hotel. The car is a 1966 Ferrari 250GTO (as mentioned above), now one of only 32. This car was formerly owned by Ralph Lauren, among others. And it was purchased for $21,000,000...the highest price yet paid for a street car (Juan Manuel Fangio's racing car was purchased for $35,000,000). Also at the same show where I photographed the gorgeous 250GTO were roughly 130 other Ferraris, including 250 Californias, 512s, Testa Rossas, 265GTBs, 365GTBs, and many more, with values of many of the classics ranking in the high single-digit millions. Living in South Florida, I have to look at $80,000-$270,000 cars every day all over the roads. Rolls Royces, Aston Martins, and Bentleys are like Buicks to the rest of the country, and Mercedes and BMW are like Honda Civics and Ford Focuses around these parts. You want to see the serious iron, come visit my turf!

Its not “all to easy” to top a 6.5 million dollar car. True, the one you took a pic of is more, but those are few and far between. Got to say though, that 21 million dollar car doesn't look like much. But, it’s the buyers money so they get what they want.

What does it for that car, aside from the astounding race history of the Ferrari 250GTO, is the extreme rareness of that particular vehicle. Something like 32 were made...there are less than that still remaining with us. So you are right...that car is certainly few and far between!
Honestly, living in South Florida, it really is fairly easy to top a sighting of a 6.5 million dollar Ferrari. Besides the annual shows which are held down here by Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Aston Martin, and two classic Concours D'Elegances with everything from 29 Cords and 32 Deusenberg J-bodies, to Bugatti Atlantiques and Mercedes SSKs...we also have a shocking number of valuable cars on the road. In South Beach Miami, Bentley, Ferrari, and Porsche are as common as Cavaliers, and Aston Martins & Maseratis make regular appearances - often driven by music and movie stars in town to play at their beach homes. In my town of Boca Raton, it is mostly Mercedes, Porsche, Jaguar, BMW, and Ferrari...the big rollers aren't as popular as our rich population is significantly younger than up North - most of our money is from start-up millionaires and billionaires and self-made types. Then you have Palm Beach, land of the old money, and more Rolls Royces, Bentleys, and S-Classes than you'll find in most other states combined. As for the really expensive stuff...here in Boca Raton I've seen a Mercedes 300SL Gullwing on the road (over $1,000,000), several Enzos already tool around, my neighbor up the street has a collection of Ferraris including an F40 (over $1m), and last week I already spotted a Maybach 57 on the road. Note: these are cars being used and driven regularly, some of which are worth over $1,000,000. They aren't sitting behind a rope, or sitting on display in a field...gotta give these people credit!!
