Hi all,
I have been offered a 1991 model 944 turbo convertible for US $ 16,350. I always wanted a convertible as a second car. The car is in a good condition with two owners and full maintenance history. It's done 96,000 KM. I did drive it and never wanted to stop, it just hugs the road and of course it's manual gear. I am not expert with Porsches and I have seen some good posts on this forum and wanted to hear some good advise. Is it worth it? |

The price isn't bad at all. The main thing about owning, and more importantly, driving a Porsche is your experience. If you enjoy it, and love the way it drives, go for it. Just make sure everything is ok in it. I would have a mechanic take a quick look at it. This is not going to be a luxury convertible by any means, it is a Porsche and will drive and handle like one. If this is what you decide you want, by all means go for it!!!! good luck in your search.

Re: 944 Turbo Convertible yr 91, good buy?
Excellent points above.
Also know that maintenance (especially the turbo) is critical to the health of these cars. It ain't too cheap either. I'd budget about $2k per year in maintenance alone.
