Talking Auto Modellista

has anyone here played that game???

it is a f**king insane game!

it has most of the current japanese cars (the decent ones anyway) and the graphics are drawn cartoony like a cross between Pokemon and Initial D.
the best thing is you can spec all these different things onto your machine of choice (no working for ever to get enough Cr for a GTR or Supra, just choose your car and drive) and the modifications are all actual licensed products. form Apexi N1 exhausts to C-West GT-wings.
you can also slap tuner stickers on your ride like Nismo And TRD and Trust etc. the racing is ggod but you can't drift which is a bummer.

The Game is great for looks, but the handling sucks... you go faster just directly hitting the wall rather than turning

the game is far too easy to begin with, they shouldnt let you get any car to start with, they should make you work for em.

i beat this game the first day i got it. and if you cant drift in this game, you got a serious problem, the controls are setup just for drifting, you cant hardly even turn without drifting.

Re: Auto Modellista

IMO crappy game... it had WAAAY to much hype... and yet i still bought it ... damn me... i beat it in about 6 hours... and in 12 hours of playing i have around 98% of the game completed.. just missing a couple of decals or something like that...

Oh yea, handling in the game sucks... no, it's more like it has no handles whatsoever.

Re: Re: Re: Auto Modellista

im talkin bout REAL drifting, not getting sideways, thats piss.

i want brake in, slide BEFORE the corner, accel and hold the slide then drift into the next corner.

sure it goes sideways when you turn but it dosent drift.

auto modelista looks good, and there's some fun stuff, like that crazy renesis-powered cosmo 21, but unless you have online access, it's a rental game. i got it from gamefly over the summer, beat it in one weekend, sent it back, and was thorougly happy afterwards. it's fine for a while, though, as long as you're not spending anything on it.

some of the race events require you to do them a second time, just run through all the tracks again, and you'll get everything.

go to www.gamefaqs.com and search for an Auto Modellista guide. It'll tell you how to unlock your missing parts.
