Tacoma TRD supercharger questions
I'm considering a TRD SC for my '01 Prerunner V6.
Is it as easy to install as I'm lead to believe? What's the best place (cheapest) to find one? Is gas mileage affected very much? Are there any problems with the stock fuel system and ECU? What upgrades are recommended for the fuel system and ECU (if any)? Thanks in advance. |

This is a much better deal than I paid.
 but I did get mine 4 months ago too. Guess they went on special. lol.It took me about 8 hours to install it myself, instructions were super easy to follow. I could have done it in 6 if I didn't have my buddy helping me and a beer run thrown in the mix.  My gas mileage has returned to about 1 mph of what is was before I supercharged it... unless I put my foot in it all the time. Believe me, an instant 70+hp is a constant temptation. I added a 160 degree thermostat from TRD and a boost gauge as well as a TRD drop in air filter. Seems the supercharger works best with the stock air box.  I had [email protected] put a package deal together for me. With this sale you could probably get eveything I got for less than I paid just for my supercharger. lol.
