Help on parts

I have a 95 Civic Dx and I was wondering if I can put the d16y7 head on my d15b7 block? I dont want to do a engine swap because i'm not keeping the car for long. I want to know if i need any other parts besides the head and ecu to get the vtec working. thanx

i personally would try to get an ex tranny. but if you dont plan on keeping the car long, why waste your money? secondly, it might be best touse the ex water pump and timing belt.

Re: Help on parts

You're gonna need the EX head too, the D16Y7 isn't a VTEC engine. If you want VTEC, it might actually be cheaper to find a whole D16Z6 and put that in your car. With the growing popularity of B-series swaps, SOHC engines can be had for relatively little money. But if you're not gonna have the car for long, then I'd say save your $.
