DIY Swap Choices
I was wondering what all is diffrent doing a ca18 swap vs a sr20 in a 93 240sx. because the ca18 was made for the 89-90's the powerstearing lines on the 93 woulent be right would they? would it just make doing a ca18 not worth doing on a 93 or should i just do a sr20 n stick with the year its made for? i have also seen people do engine swaps were the lift the car over the engine instad of the engine into the car. is there any advantage to this? and if i went all out with this DIY mission would a clip be easier because i'de get to do the swap twice in a sence? or is a waste. it costs slightley more but with a swap you need intercoolers pipes and all the stuff that the engine set dosen't include on top of that i'me using an auto, so can any of the parts from the clip like the master cylendars and clutch lines be used???even the petal assy. maybe? i know the petals are for right hand drive but im in welding/machining by trade i'm sure i could get somthin made up if i had to. but is there anything a front clip wont include that i could posibley need to make my car start and drive complete witha 5-speed swap? i guess thats what i'me asking eather with the CA18 or SR20? any help you can give me would be of much use to me thank you all for your time
