yo sup peeps, im cody, i got a 95 eclipse rs i bought from a dealership about 2-2 1/2 months ago, i took the thing to the local mechanic and he said it looked fine, its a 5 spd, i blame myself for a few things that happend to the car its got 145kmiles on it, the thing smokes like hell, the reason i didnt get a GSX is because my Insurence comany would have a fit if i got one because they wont let me have a turbocharged car, i looked around for a 4g63T motor then replacing the turbo manifold with a headers and saving the mainfold for later, but i soon found out that i couldnt fit a 4g in my car w/o serious modifications... i read up on several people that did this, they all spent from 5-6grand on all the parts for the swap, my car was runnign really good for a while there until the belt started jumping off,.. one day my dad went to put it back on and we found out the Tension Bolt for the belts was bent all to hell and the threads messed up pretty bad, so i went to get one... WHAA??? $68 BUCKS FOR THAT BOLT??? seems the bolt is a dealer item and they want to sell the whole thing for $116 bucks, and if i had it made from a machine shop it would be $68 bucks.... so what should i do? should i gte a new 420A and build up the internals, make it all motor, or just work on my existing motor? its got alot of miles tho, but i have no clue what to do, could someone please help me out? Anything would be greatly Apreciated!

Get a honda? Bro get a life. Nothing wrong with mitsubishis. You just have to be your own mechanic sometimes. People like me can afford the more expensive models. Like mine of corse. I pay $492 amonth for insurance $6,000 a year. But ive graduated college and can afford it. Yeah that kind of insurance makes it harder to mod my car. But ive done pretty well so far. About $4k on body and paint and $1500 on the engine. Yes alot of things do go wrong. But it pays itself in the long run. Like knowing how to do shit yourself. then when you get beat by that slightly modded dsm runnin 12's. Ill be glad to share a bag of my rice with you.

Your car didnt have any kind of warranty? No darn. Well here goes my way of getting your car back to life. for roughly $1500 to $2000 you can rebuild your motor. basically starting from 0 miles using your old block. then do your timing belts along with water pump, accessory belts etc all in 1 shot. then your practically guaranteed another 100k miles with minimal work. thats what I would do first depending on If i wanted the rs model of course. Or if dad is really feeling sorry at this point. just buy a regular old lancer oz rally. Pop a 4g63t 6 bolt motor in. Then BOOM you got yourself a sleeper.

Dude you are a fuck tard.. Just because you brag about all of the money you have wasted on that piece of shit, doesnt mean you are better.. Plus your eclipse wont run 12's with that body kit and them 18 inch heavy wheels.. So are you saying that because I own a honda I am not my own mechanic or I dont know anything about cars... You get a life ricer. |

Buddys? I know you for your rediculous comments and lack of knowlege! First of all ok I do have 18's. Also sitting in the garage are my brand new stock 16 inch alloy rims with sticky ass tires, ready for the track. Agreed I wont hit the 12's anytime soon. But dont hate for the fact I can spend unlimited abounts of my hard earnd money when and how I want. Even if its for my rice cake of a car. Oh and ill be sure to spend at least $800 dollars for the evo 111 upgrade. Thatll surely get me clean into the 13's. And my momma could drive and hit a 13 with the chromes. Im sure my Gfriend dont mind my ricer. Along with all her friends and my boys girls who constantly ask for ridealongs. . Hear that? Psssssst.....pssschewwww you just got your ass handed to you. 18's and all..
