What is the best engine to put into a 97 civic LX?

What engine do you think is the best to put in a 97 Civic LX? I am really looking for a big hp gain.

Ok looking for an engine in the $3,000-$4,000 range plan to turbocharge it. Tell me if you need anything else.

Crvtec can be had for 3-4k. You can build out a crvtec and kick some Ass. If your gonna put that much into it, its not worth it to go smaller; you need sleeves, the b16 or gsr head (or a substitute), an ecu for the new head, and internals, (pistons and rods) then you can turbo the crap out of it. There are some small hitches like having to tap oil and stuff, but otherwise its a good idea. Most of the time the ls engines are installed becuase they are only a bit smaller, but also cheaper and the sleeves are (contested) to be stronger. But if your gonna just dump money into it, theres no reason.
