Exclamation McLaren F1 GTR 1995 007R For Sale

The McLaren F1 GTR 1995 007R, which belonged to the Giroix Racing Team and ended 5th at "Le 24 heures du Le Mans 1995" is currently on sale. It is finished in Papaya Orange over black interior, and has only had one owner according to the site. Never had any single accident neither. The site is:
http://www.carclassic.com/html/CW33.htm

I`ve e-mailed them and they had told me that the car is fully road legal for the UK. The car is located in Hampshire, England and maintance has been done in Woking. It has less than 1000miles since £175,000.- Spent at last maintance. Any lucky person who has EUR$ 1,295,000
to spend can buy the car.

Ps. I was sent three pictures of the car at it`s current color and of its interior but I don`t know how to post them. I`ll try later.

the car is sold
it was for sale @ a dealership called oakfields.
carclassic.com is a site with ads, just like qv500.com, the difference being qv500.com has really good info and carclassic.com hasn't.
secondly, qv500.com is updated regularly, and carclassic i don't know about, bu i don't think so.
but we've seen lots of pics of it on a site called tvrfreak.com
the owner of the site, who posts frequently here, has seen it in the factory alongside some others (road legal) gtr's and some road cars.
it's a nice car though, although i think it's very much overpriced. It still is a fake lm, and fake things will never be the real deal.

Maartenvanthek, it seems that the car is again on the market, as I`ve e-mailed Classiccars and they told me that they were selling it for a client. Look at what they told me, to some of my questions:

1) Where is this car located at the present moment?
HAMPSHIRE UK
2) Is this car from your company or is it being brokered by your company?
WE SOLD THIS CAR AND HAVE IT BACK FOR SALE
3) Is the flat undertray, as well as, front spoiler and rear diffuser all
clean, with no rock chips or scrapes?
LESS THAN 1000MLS SINCE £175,000.- SPENT AT FACTORY AS NEW!!!!
4) Have the headlights been modified at all for importation)?
THIS CAR IS ROAD LEGAL IN THE UK !!!!!!
5) Is it street legal?
YES

So as you might see, the car is for sell.

Ps. I still haven`t been able to post the pictures.

I'd like to once again state that this is my favourite F1. It looks great, has more power then the standard car and most importantly of all, that racing history. Iamgine owning an F1, know imagine owning one of the best looking F1s, now imagine it having more ponies than the standard car and now imagine that you own the car that completed the 24 hours of Le Mans and came home fifth. I'd kill for this car.........

TCar, why do you say that this car has more power than the standard GTR? I was told that this car is described as the best car available (according to McLaren) , but I don`t know why, althought I have read about an F1 with more HP. Please tell us.

I meant that it had more power than the standard F1 road car (627HP). That car has a racing engine which has been derestricted (like all the LMs and other converted GTRs) meaning it pumps out 680 horses. McLaren (and me too) probably say it is the best because it was worked on only recently meaning the car is in great nick, and it looks it.

Great photos by the way

The strange thing about that silver F1 that they are 'selling' is that the photos and the descriptions simply don't match up. The car in the photos is clearly Seth Neiman's F1 - you can even see the "Canepa" license plate frame in the rear photo. I know that car doesn't have the "High down force kit" they speak of - not in the photos, and not in real life either. The other thing that is odd is they call it a "Mc Laren F1 GT road version" at the top of the ad and it's most certainly not an F1 GT as that would be the longtailed road car.

Maybe they are simply using the photos for example purposes, but they should mention that in the ad. Anyway, like Maarten said - I'm a little leery of some of the information they present in their ads. They usually have great photos though.

Yeah when i saw that to it made me wonder what the car acutally was. My dad talked to carclassic and he said that they weren't the smartest people. Im pretty sure its just a normal silver f1, no HDK or longtail.
