How much power is alot of power to you. It all depends on how much time/money you want to put into your car. You could spend money on squeezing every once out of the 1.6 or you could get something w/ a better stock HP and torque rating and work on that. W/ my 95 civic I am opting to swap out to start w/ a better base. So I would say swap- although I would look into all the pro/cons that come w/ the H22 before spending any $$. It all depends on you cuz if any large amount of people actually answer this post you will probably be more confused and be given more options than you started out. My

Like stated above, its really what you want to spend/do. A that motor boosted lets say might put 160-180 at the wheels max with the motor being stock. An h22a will put around 180 at the wheels consistently. Then in the future you could always boost it. Keep in mind that an h22a swap in a civic can be costly when done RIGHT. Your motor mounts would have to be adressed as well as it is hight recommended that your strenghten your front suspension.

i'm pretty sure it is, correct me if i'm wrong. the h22 is too heavy i think. if you plan on doing the h22 swap, pretty much plan on just going in a straight line. i would do the b18c swap over the h22 cuz h22 aren't that good for turboing, but you could always supercharge it.

b18c the way to go for sure. Drops right in stock mounts all the wires are there, just change afew pins in the plugs, and the computeryour good soo much more than stock so many more rpm h22 takes alot of fabrication and money

A B18c Is A Little More Expensive But Worth The Extra Costim Running For Around 2500 Dollars Total And With Time And Research It Is Possible To Do It For The Same Amount I Spent 9 Months Searching For The Right Motor/price (worth Every Minute Imo)

if u are going to boost it the go with a b18c1 swap if you can try to get one that is obd2a that is the same wiring as your civic
why b18c? one word "torque"
