ITR Convertible

Hey guys, I am working on my Targa Top ITR and well the two B-pillars broke and I can't find them, I tried making some new ones but they don't stay and look like sh!t, I was wondering how to go about making a believable convertible, I know I need to remove the roof and make a cover thing for the back , that is were I am stuck. any ideas?

Just cut the roof off at the top of the a & b pillars and then carefully trim/ sand the remnents of the pillars (to avoid cracking or spliting the rest of the body). Go to a craft store and find some very very very fine weave canvas (your color choice) and shape to you liking to the area where the rear deck speakers go. Adhere some type of platform to the trunk for the convertible top to lay. Just hope you don't want a functioning top, otherwise you'd be having fun with that one. That would be doable. If you just want to have a soft top "closed," use some thin posterboard to mold the shape of the roof and place the canvas on that. Hope this helps with sparking some ideas!

no such thing! I have never even seen an EXTREMELY custom integra that is a convertible. I've seen a convertible accord. This one is all imagination man! I would still go with my idea of canvas or some other FABRIC, but it's your project. Good luck, keep us posted!

do a search for the Bomex cars. One of there integras is white- and a convertible, it's usually next to their white convertible Civic.

Update

Just a small update, I couldn't find pictures of a real ITR convertible. I decided to style the the convertible setup like one from the early 60's, with the hard cover that lifts up and the top comes out. I cut the roof off, sanded down the pillar areas, cut off the third brake light from the rear deck of the interior, cut out some styrene and glued it flush to the body, it comes to just behind the rear seats, creating a roadster type of look. I will try to get my hands on a digital camera to take pics
